PHOTOGRAPHY & GRAPHIC DESIGN
I have been the primary cover artist for 2600 Magazine: The Hacker Quarterly since 1996, under the pseudonym Dabu Ch’wald. From 2001 to 2003, I collaborated with Mike Essl, and in 2006 in collaboration with the talented French-Canadian illustrator Fred Guimont. Starting back in 2004 the covers began to have loose annual themes; propaganda (2004), transportation (2005), illustration (2006), animals (2007), dying tech (2007), Emma the Operator (2009), electronic anachronisms (2010), censorship (2011), treasure hunt (2012), emotions (2013), bleeding edge (2014), coordinates (2015), forgotten hardware (2016), decent/dissent (2017), and most recently memes (2018).
